I had it replaced about three weeks ago. It feels good to smile big again, but I still haven't gotten the hang of it. At first, I was smiling like a weirdy, all big, funny and insincere. Of course, I could've been smiling this whole time and said, "Fuck all. I'm gonna smile!", but I haven't got that confidence, I suppose.
I dated a girl for about a year who never noticed it was missing. Makes me wonder if she cared that much about seeing me smile. OK, I know she didn't.
Two years of not smiling big. Of not showing teeth. Lately, I have had a lot to smile about so coinciding bouts of happiness with the relinquishing of old non-smiling habits has been hard to master. But, I'm getting the hang of it again.
And it feels good to do it.
Emo song over. Keep on smilin'!

I'll see to it that you keep on smiling (but not that silly fake smile ;-p), even when there isn't huge amounts of things to smile about. I love your smile, sans tooth or not. =)
ReplyDeletecorb, you have such a nice smile! i had no idea you were missing a tooth.
